Being a passionate football fan, I was very interested to learn about the bidding process for hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup, especially as England was in the running. Sadly England did not win the bid, however all is not yet lost. With the recent allegations against Qatar, the 2022 bidding process could be about to start all over again.

Are you excited about Cloud? I’m not and here’s my reasons why.

The other week, during a discussion with a client, I was described as a ‘veteran of the IT industry’. Now heading towards my mid 40’s, I was unsure whether to take this as a compliment reflecting my knowledge, or as an indicator that the years of working in the industry had taken its toll on my once youthful looks.  It was at this given point that it struck me, “maybe my ‘youth-fading’ knowledge and experience would be of interest to a wider audience”.

The Multi-Sourcing and Service Integration Challenge

In response to growing CIO concerns about multi-sourcing and service integration and management (SIAM), Quantum Plus sponsored CIO Connect to carry out a survey to ascertain the current thinking and view point on multi-sourcing and SIAM. A six month research project was undertaken with thirty leading IT executives and twenty IT vendors.
